Reiki and Emotional Aromatherapy are both holistic approaches that can complement traditional treatments for anxiety, depression, and stress. Let’s explore each of them: Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing that aims to promote overall well-being by channelling universal life forces. The word “Reiki” comes from “rei” (universal life) and “ki” (energy). How Does It Work? Reiki practitioners assist in balancing or unblocking energy flow which encourages the body’s natural healing ability. (check out earlier blogs on Reiki) Emotional Aromatherapy combines the therapeutic benefits of essential oils with a focus on emotional well-being. How Does It Work? Specific essential oils are chosen for their mood-enhancing properties. For example: § Lavender and bergamot uplift spirits. § Chamomile and frankincense reduce stress and anxiety. § Geranium and rose soothe emotional wounds. There are just so many oils out there, an oil for everything, but doTerra offer various oil blends - and even do a specific emotional oil set, so check in with me. (check out earlier blog on doTERRA) To use essential oils safely for emotional well-being, follow these guidelines: Inhalation: Inhale the aroma directly from the bottle or use a diffuser. Topical Application: Apply diluted oils to pulse points or areas of tension. Internal : depending on the oil, a drop under the tongue / in water / capsule - hot oils in a capsule. Only certain oils can be taken internally. Combining Reiki and Emotional Aromatherapy together, they create a Holistic approach - Reiki balances energy flow and Aromatherapy supports emotional well-being.
